When I was on my first journey, I came to a realization that the fight that I had within myself daily to get up early to do cardio, drink all my water, take my supplements, eat all my meals, and lift weights was by far the hardest fight I've ever had.
It was an intense battle everyday but as I stayed the course the battle became easier. People would always ask how was I able to stay in the fight for 18 months - my short answer is - I fought my hardest in the first 3-5 weeks of my journey then after that it felt like my "spirit" took control. During that time I had different issues/challenges that surfaced at work but I noticed that because I was tapping into my better self for personal development I could better resolve outside issues as opposed to when I was living a "no self-control lifestyle".
Throughout life we will definitely face life challenges, direct and indirect battles but you will find that if you win the daily battles you have with yourself the "outside" battles will become easier to win.
